Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Altfy website, the Altfy application, and the Altfy MCP server (together, the "Service"). Altfy is a product of AltWise ("AltWise", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Altfy is an investment research and valuation platform for equity analysis. It is delivered through the Altfy application and through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so that an AI assistant of your choice (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Codex, or any MCP-compatible agent) can call our research tools inside your own conversations. You bring your own AI subscription; we provide the research tools, not the assistant.

The Service evolves. We may add, change, or retire features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you may cancel.

You need an account to use the Service. You must give accurate information, keep your credentials and your MCP tokens confidential, and you are responsible for everything done through your account and tokens. Tokens can be revoked at any time from the application, which cuts that agent's access immediately.

Accounts are personal on the individual plans. Enterprise accounts may cover a team, with the roles and seats agreed in the corresponding order.

New accounts start on a free plan, at no cost and with no card required. The free plan is limited: a reduced universe of companies, a lower number of active theses, and lower hourly and daily tool-call limits. We may adjust those limits, and we may end or change the free plan for new signups at any time.

The paid individual plans are Starter, at US$29 per month or US$300 per year, and Pro, at US$89 per month or US$708 per year. Enterprise is priced under a separate agreement. Prices are stated in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction. Where we offer a local currency, the amount charged in that currency is the one shown at checkout.

We may change prices. A price change never applies to a billing period already paid; we will notify you at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you may cancel before then.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number: it stays with Stripe, which is certified for that purpose.

Paid plans bill in advance, monthly or annually depending on the billing period you choose at checkout, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. An annual plan is charged once, up front, for the whole year. Nothing is charged while you are on the free plan.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal inside the application, where you can also update your payment method and download your invoices. Cancellation stops the next renewal: your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and we do not pro-rate a partial month.

If you cancel within 7 days of your first payment on a plan, write to contact@altwise.ai and we refund that payment in full. After that window, payments already made are not refundable, except where the law of your country of residence says otherwise.

If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until it is settled. We may also suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms.

Each plan carries limits on tool calls per hour and per day, and on the number of active theses. The limits in force for your plan are shown on the pricing page and inside the application, and the Service enforces them. Automated or bulk use designed to work around those limits, to resell the Service, or to rebuild our database is not permitted.

Altfy is a research tool. Everything produced by the Service or published on this website (including valuation models, scenarios, estimates, event-impact figures, and any other output) is provided for informational purposes only. It is not investment advice, a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial instrument, and it does not take your personal circumstances into account.

AltWise is not a registered investment advisor, broker, or dealer in any jurisdiction. Financial data may contain errors, gaps, or delays, and outputs generated with the help of AI models may be wrong. Any investment decision you make is yours alone; if you need advice, consult a licensed professional.

You agree not to misuse the Service, including, without limitation: attempting to gain unauthorized access; interfering with its operation; scraping or bulk-extracting content or data; reverse engineering non-public parts of the Service; sharing your token with people outside your plan; or reselling or redistributing the Service or its output without our written permission.

What you create in the Service (your theses, assumptions, scenarios, notes, and canvas boards) remains yours. You grant us only the licence we need to host and process it in order to run the Service for you.

The Service itself (including software, models, databases, design, text, and the Altfy and AltWise brands) is owned by AltWise or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own research, for as long as your plan is active. No other rights are granted.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AltWise shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for lost profits or investment losses, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The current version, with its effective date, is always published on this page. For material changes we will give notice by e-mail or inside the application before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the courts of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply in your place of residence.
